Our three day Piazzi Smyth mini-festival is about to start! We have a movie screening, a public lecture with live stereo, an array of top-notch speakers, an Astronomical Tour, and even some of Piazzi Smyth’s descendants in attendance. The registration for the two-day Symposium proper is now officially closed, but it is still possible to get tickets on the night for the movie screening (Monday at 7:30, £4) and the public lecture (Tuesday at 18:00, £8). Both these events are at the Royal Society of Edinburgh, George Street, Edinburgh.
